In keeping with the theme of poetry this year, the following poem honor's the strength and beauty of all women. Happy Mothers Day.

Some say the flower is frail and weak

I find this hard to believe.

It is the flower that can survive the roughest storms,

the driest temperatures,

and not only blossom, but flourish the next day.

It is the flower that gives new life to future generations.

It is the flower that  - in its simplicity - creates a smile.

Frail and weak are not how to describe the flower.

Instead, I choose: Strength, Purpose and Beauty.
